Security Matters (SecM) is co-founded by activists familiar with protection mechanisms for human rights defenders and activists and aims to provide digital and physical security support and assistance to activists in need.

Our mission is simple!
Protect human rights defenders so they can do what they do best. Drive social change!
How are we different from the others?
There are no similar efforts from the local actors in the targeted countries. We identified the existing gaps and saw the opportunity to create a strong, sustainable, relevant, and effective local network.
We believe that with our approach, we can better address the needs of people at risk in a fast, quality, impactful and sustainable assistance that is efficient, effective, and fit for purpose.
